There are actually people who do not think that their actions have consequences. That of course is the farthest thing from the truth. In Gen 42:8-23, Joseph’s brothers came down to Egypt to buy food during a time of famine. Joseph who was the Prime Minister saw them and arrested them to find out if his younger brother and father were still alive. The brother’s were very afraid because they didn’t understand what was happening. One brother made the statement that all of this was happening because of what they had done to Joseph. In reality his statement was ture. We have to realize that sin always carries a price. In the book of Galatians it says that God is not mocked, whatever we sow, we will reap. These boys wanted to do away with Joseph and now Joseph had the power to kill them if he wanted. Joseph however was not revengeful, he was merciful. God is merciful. He wants no man die in his sins. That is why He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for the sins of mankind. It is so important to remember that even thought sin is forgiven, sometimes it carries some consequences with it. Are you ready to accept the consequences for your sin and actions? Today ask the Lord to give you the strength to face anything, even consequences.
