The key number is 72… 72 hours is the time frame to be prepared for in
case of emergency.  According to the Edmonton Sun this morning there
are serveral things to have on hand to protect you and your family.

Emergency Kit:

-Water; 2 litres per person per day as a minimun

-Non-parishable food and a manual canopener

-Flashlight and batteries

-First aid kit

-Prescriptions medication, baby formula and any other necessary life items

-Spare keys to house and car

-Cash and contact information for emergency personnel and family or friends out of town

-Warm blankets toiletries, water purifying tablets, basic tools, spare clothes

-Good sturdy shoes

-Whistle

-Portable fuel stove
