In Matt 5:9, Jesus makes a statement.  Blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called the Children of God.  Jesus is reminding His audience that the path of peace is the path of God.  When a person chooses to bring peace into a situation they are actually bringing Jesus into the situation.  He is the Prince of Peace.  He gives a peace that the world cannot give or take it away.  Now peace is the absence of personal strife or warfare.  You are right with God, yourself and the world.  Jesus is the only one who can truly give this.  He is the one who brings peace in every situation.  The marvelous thing is that He is only a prayer away.  When you rest in His peace than what happens is you begin to exhibit and in turn bring peace into your world.  Peter puts it beautifully in Acts when he said, "Silver and gold have I none but such as I have, I will give to you."  When you have peace in your heart you will naturally want to give it to others.  Wheny ou do, Jesus says, "You will be the Children of God."  So today give God’s peace to others and you will truly be His child.
