Can you get along.?

One of the challenges everyone of us face is inter-personal relationships.  In Gen 13:1-12, we have such a struggle.  Abraham and Lot were relatives living in the same part of the country.  Both had large herds of sheep, and there was not enough grass to support both herds.  Because of this the servants of both men began to quarrel.  This situation could have been explosive but Abraham being the man of God had wisdom to overcome it.  He suggested that he and Lot no longer live together.  Lot took the choice of the land and Abraham lived in the hill country where it was dryer.  Lot chose the land that was fertile but it was also near the two wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.  These cities would later lead to Lot’s downfall.  Abraham stayed in the hill country far away from the influence of the world.  There are two lessons that we can learn today.  First, have wisdom to see the solution in every sticky situation.  The solution may mean that you will not always get the best.  It is more important to have harmony than always getting the best for yourself.  Secondly, Don’t live to close to the world.  Almost always it influences you more than you influence it.  Live in a place where God wants you.  Simple but effective advice.  Our promises today will help you deal with anger.  Psalm 18:48, 37:8, Proverbs 15:1, 16:32, 19:11, 29:22-23, Ecc 7:8-9, Matthew 6:14, Romans 12:19-24, Eph 4:26, Col 3:8, Hebrews 10:30 and James 1:19-20
