In Deut 20:1, Moses gives to the people of Israel and exhortation that even though they were out numbered in battle to not be afraid for the Lord was with them.  How true it is when we face the battles of life the Lord is with us.  One time I was going through a very difficult time in my life.  It felt like my prayers were hitting the ceiling.  It was during this time that I knew the Lord was with me.  Many times I did not feel like praising Him but God was faithful.  Jesus said that He would never forsake us or leave us.  We can take that to heart and know that the Lord will not take us some place without giving us the grace to stay there.  Moses was placed in the backside of the desert for 40 years while he learned to put pride away and depend on the Lord instead of his own resources.  It was in Egypt where he learned to face overwhelming forces in the might of the Lord.  Your promises for today are Isaiah 41:10, 1 John 4:4, James 4:7, 1 John 3:8 and Rom 8:1.
