Alberta’s “Blue-coated Mounties”

March 11, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

| Free

From 1917 to 1932 Alberta had a provincial police force. Why then? What did they do? What happened to that organization?

Our popular winter curatorial lecture series returns with six exciting presentations focusing on new discoveries and collections at the Museum. This year, our presenters take us into the field to observe wildlife, excavate fossils, and collect pollen samples. We’ll dip into little-known aspects of Alberta’s history and meet some legendary characters. With guns and volcanoes also front and centre, this series is sure to go with a bang!
