Friday Night Muse

This is again one of the rare times that I am sharing twice in the same day.  Musing and thinking about things is always an interesting exercise.  Tonight I watched a movie about a man who was given a week to live and what he did with it.  This man bought a motorcycle and travelled across the country.  I have often thought what would I do if I were given a limited amount of time.  I would make the decision to impact as many lives as I could.  Any person can be selfish and self centered.  It takes real courage to say, I am going to make a maximum impact in a minimum amount of time.  That has been my moto for some years now.  I have come to realize that the majority of my life has passed.  I am 39 and holding.  When you realize that you have limited time then you make life choices that make more sense, I believe.  You think about your relationship with God, your spouse, your family and those around you.  You think, will they be glad I came or glad I left?  Did I minister minister God’s love in a powerful and living way?  The writer of Hebrews reminds us that we have one life to live and then judgment.  How we live is every bit as important as did we breathe.  The secret of life is to live.  One of my favorite sayings in my Proverbs of Steel book is, "Live your life so well the town gossip would vouch for you."  So live long and prosper as Spock would say.
