In Exodus 14, After the people of Israel left for Canaan, Pharaoh had a change of heart. He sent his armies after the Israelites. The armies of Pharaoh caught up with the Israelites at the shores of the Red Sea. The people began to cry out to Moses when they saw the armies of Pharaoh. God opened the Red Sea by sending the east wind to blow back the waves. The people walked through the sea on dry land provided by the wind. When the people of Israel had all passed through the sea, God allowed the Egyptians to follow and when all the armies had enetered the sea God close the sea on them and all the soldiers drowned. One thing that the believer can know is that God will protect and deliver them. Through the bible we find account after account telling about God’s protection and deliverance. Daniel was delivered from the lions den. Jeremiah was protected from the cistern and the armies of Nebuchadnezzer. God will keep His hand upon you as a believer. 1 Corinthians 10:12 says that God will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to endure but with the temptation a means of escape.
