God’s man

In 1 King 16:30, Ahab was  very wicked man and did more to cause Israel to sin than any other king.  God raised up a man to speak against this king.  The man’s name was Elijah and he was a true prophet of God.  Ahab would be known forever as the man who did more evil in the eyes of the Lord than any of those before him.  Ahab and Jezebel would introduce the worship of Baal into Jewish culture.  They would bring about the untimely death of Naboth.  Together they would try to destroy the prophet of God named Elijah.  I often wonder what kind of legacy I will leave behind.  Will it be said that I was a man that served the Lord or will I be known as a fool and unrighteousness.  I wish to be known as a righteous man.  There is one thing that we know is that Ahab chose the lifestyle he lived.  He was warned against evil by ELijah, yet he chose to listen to his evil wife, Jezebel.  You have a choice of what kind of life you are going to live.  Live for God.  Your promises today are Josh 24:15, 2 Chron 7:14, Matt 22:37-30, 1 Cor 6:19-20, Prov 3:5-6 and Rom 14:17.  The insights I will to leave with you today are.  1.  Resources well spent are those given in the aid of others.  2.  The wise man knows that confrontation without a solution is folly.
