Jesus’ Baptism

In Luke 3:21-22, John had been baptizing people near the Jordan River.  He was baptising them for repentance.  Jesus came to John to be baptised.  Now at first, according to other passages John was not going to baptise Jesus but Jesus told him to baptise Him so that all things would be fulfilled.  So John took Jesus down into the water and when Jesus came out of the water, all heaven was opened to Him.  Jesus was praying and the Holy Spirit came upon Him in bodily form as a dove which means gentleness and peace.  Then a voice came out of heaven and said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."  Jesus was shown for who He was right from the beginning.  He is the Son of God.  God with a face.  Jesus came to save mankind from his sin.  Today mediate on this scripture and know that He was the Son of God that the Father was pleased with.  Your promises today are:  Psalm 28:7, 34:18, 147:3, Prov 4:23, 15:11, Isaiah 30:15 and Jer 31:13.  Your Insighful Sayings are:  Comedy and God have one thing in common that makes a person succesful.  Timing.  Putting love into practice is the greatest action movie we will ever see.
