Reaching out to God.

In Exodus 17:8-16, the people of Israel went to battle against the Amalekites.  God gave them the victory each time Moses’ hands were in the air.  When his hands fell to the side the Israelites would begin to lose.  Aaron and Hur took the challenge of being help mates to Moses.  They saw that he was getting tired so each one took a hand and held them high until the victory was won.  When we are faltering in the battle of life, God is there to reach out and take our hands and give us the victory.  The Lord is our Banner, He is our victory and our fortress.  A second lesson today is that when we need help God will send someone to help us lift our hands.  We must let them and God take our hands in victory.  Our promises today are Isaiah 54:10, Heb 13:5-6, 1 Cor 1:9, Rev 3:20, Psalm 34:18
