The Lord is good!

In Psalm 73:1, there is a small but powerful statement.  The Lord is God and good to those who are His people.  One thing that we have found over the years of serving the Lord, is that He is good.  Many times I have seen the goodness of God even though I did not deserve it, this is called grace.  One time in my ministry I was at a very low point and God sent someone to minister to my heart.  It was great to see the goodness of God.  One time D.L. Moody was at a low point in his life when God sent a dear lady to tell him not to be discouraged but trust the Lord.  Mr. Moody did what this dear saint exhorted him to do.  This was the beginning of many blessings.  On his death bed, Mr. Moody said that God over the years was more gracious than he deserved.  The Lord is good to those who are pure in heart.  Those who desire to have God more in their lives.  Purity is something that the Lord demands.  It is hard to keep ones life pure before the Lord but if we fall, we can ask for forgiveness and the Lord will give it to us.  Confession of sin and right living through the Holy Spirit will help keep one self pure before the Lord.  Remember these two promises this morning.  Your promises today are:  Ps 23:3, 37:25, 84:11, Prov 10:11, 10:24, Hos 10:12, Matt 6:33, Rom 3:22, 10:10, 1 Cor 1:30 and Gal 3:6-7.  Your insightful sayings are:  I know it is going to be a good day when all the wheels on my shopping cart actually move the same way.  Laughter is a great way to releive stress, so start laughing and before you know it all your stress will be gone.
