The Lord’s Prayer.

In Luke 11:1-4, Jesus taught His disciples about prayer.  He gave them what has been termed as the Lord’s prayer which we will look at for a moment.  First, His name is to be hallowed, In Ex 20, it says that the name of the Lord is never to be taken in vain.  Secondly, His Kingdom come.  Jesus came to bring the Kingdom of God here on earth in the hearts of His people.  The Kingdom of God is within us.  Thirdly, Give us our daily bread.  The Lord will provide for all our needs.  Fourthly, Forgive our sins as we forgive others who sin against us.  Fifthly, help us to avoid temptation or hard testing.  These are the things that Christ wants the Christian to know.  Remember it is not how you pray that is important as the fact that you do pray.  God wants for us to communicate with Him through the avenue of prayer.  So get busy.  Your promises are:  Psalm 4:3, 55:17, 5:1-3, Prov 15:29, 28:9, Isaiah 26:9, 55:6, 65:4, Rom 12:12 Eph 6:18 and Jude 20.  Your Insighful Sayings are:  The fastest way to destroy a friendship is to live together.  Live your life so well that the preacher does not have to lie at your funeral.
