Today’s Thoughts

I cannot believe we are already celebrating the last day of fall heading into winter. Â Tomorrow for me is the start of the transistion towards summer. Â I am by nature and liking a person of summer. Â The hotter the better. Â I look forward to the longer days and the longer light they bring. Â This morning’s devotion was from Isaiah 9:6 which states, “For unto us a child is born and unto us a child is given.” Â Jesus Christ came for each of us and the salvation he brings is personal. Â Just because your parents were Christians or your family background has Christian roots does not make you a Christian. Â Christianity is a personal decision. Â Jesus came for each of us and it is up to each of us to make that decision to either accept salvation or not. Â Isaiah then says, “The government shall be upon His shoulders.” Â One day Jesus will rule and reign on earth but in the mean time He rules in the hearts of those who have accepted Him as their Lord and Saviour. Â His Kingdom is one of righteousness, peace and joy. Â Sounds like a pretty great kingdom. Â Every day, right living, peace and joy. Â With just a few days left before Christmas make Jesus your reason for the season and enjoy all the benefits of being a Child of God.
