Wait for the Lord

Psalm 40:1-3. David says he waited patiently for the Lord.  Isaiah 40:31, says that they who wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength, they shall mount up on wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.  We must wait patiently for the Lord.  David then says that the Lord heard him and lifted him out of a slimy pit.  God is able to take us from the slime of the world and give us a firm foundation.  The foundation that we must stand upon is the Lord Jesus Christ.  David says that the Lord lifted him out of the pit and gave him a firm place to stand.  He did not know how prophetic he was when he made this statement.  Christ is the only firm foundation.  David then states that the Lord gave him a new song in his heart.  This song is a hymn of praise to the Lord that many will see and fear the Lord.  This will produce a positive response from those people giving their hearts to the Lord and putting their trust in Him.  Prov 1:6, says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  God is so good.  Spend time meditating on what He has brought forth and the Holy Spirit will renew you.  You promises today are: Isaiah 40:31, Eph 3:20, Prov 3:5-6, Phil 4:13, and 1 Cor 10:13.  Your insightful saying are:  Fruitfulness is always an outgrowth of getting the soil of ones life in order.  Speaking before you have thought things through is like being a guest on Jerry Springer.  Not very wise.
