What can break a heart.

In Jeremiah 6:1-2. Jeremiah was greatly distressed over the fact that his beloved city of Jerusalem was under siege by the Babylonians.  He was to see the wrath of God upon this beautiful city.  His heart was broken over the event.  What really broke his heart was the fact that he told the people that if they would turn to the Lord and follow Him that the city would be saved.  One thing that we find with the Lord is, it takes a lot to anger Him but once angered He exacts justice swiftly.  When the people of Israel rebelled aaginst the Lord in the desert the Lord brought judgment swiftly.  He wanted His people to follow Him with all their hearts.  One thing the Lord will not tolerate is half hearted commitment.  Jesus Himself found the Pharisees and abomination because of their hypocrisy.  They would say one thing and do another,  As a Christian, follow the Lord with all your heart for the Lord is patient but He is willing to use judgment to bring the child of God back to Himself.  Your promises for today are:  Psalm 34:9, 34:10, 111:10, Prov 1:24-29, 2:1-5, 14:26 15:33 and Psalm 147:11.  Your insightful sayings are:  Truth in the heart of a fool is as scare as water in the desert.  The old Hymn said, "Truth is marching on, the problem is that too many people are marching in the wrong band."
