What is the Body of Christ?

In Luke 18:19-21, We have a passage talking about Jesus’ family.  When Jesus’ family heard all the great things that Jesus was doing they marvelled.  But when He was accused of madness they came to bring Him home.  They could not get into the house where He was staying.  So they sent a message inside telling Him that His family was outside.  Then Jesus gave a powerful truth.  All those that hear His message and word and put it into practice are members of His family.  One time a wise old preacher said, "We may be driving different buses but we are still all going to the same place."  It is a beautiful thing to be a member of the Body of Christ.  It is also wonderful to get together and pray for one another.  I have had many friends in the Lord who have over the years been praying for me and with me.  One Salvation Army brother I knew prayed with me and many times we were an inspriation to one another and we saw God move in our lives.  All those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour are members of the same family.  Are you a member of this family and if you are not I encourage you to become one?  Your promises are today:  Rom 10:9-10, John 3:16, 8:32 and 1 Cor 10:13.  Your insighful sayings are:  A true winner is one that never gloats over the loss of his opponent.  Success in life is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration.
